Ko Samui Boutique Hotels

  • Koh Samui background

Koh Samui is located in the Gulf of Thailand and is well known for its picture perfect white sand beaches lined with coconut trees. On these merits the island has become one of the most visited destinations in all of Thailand and despite rapid development over the last 20 years it has not lost its original appeal. Going from an almost deserted island, only inhabited by local fishermen, to a busy holiday destination catering to thousands of visitors each year Koh Samui still delivers the goods. Samui is best known for its many beaches, each one having its own unique character and atmosphere, ensuring you’ll find the perfect place no matter what you seek.

Chaweng has the most amazing white sand beach and crystal clear blue water, factors which have helped to make it the busiest beach on Koh Samui. It offers a great variety in accommodation from budget guesthouses to five stars hotels. Boutique hotels are common here and are usually found in the form of boutique resorts with private villas in the upper price bracket.

  • Lamai is the second major beach but it has a more charming atmosphere and a less frenetic pace. The beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and water sports.

Bo Phut Beach divides into two parts, Fisherman’s Village and Bophut Beach. The accommodation as well as restaurants tend to be a little more exclusive. Bo Phut has the largest collection of boutique hotels on the island.

Taling Ngam Beach is located on the west of the island and is famous for amazing sunset views. It is one for the most quiet areas of the island only getting busy in the late afternoon when visitors flock to see the sunset.

Although the main reason for many people going to Koh Samui is its beaches there are however many other activities and attractions including, for example, go karting, mountain adventure, spas, yoga or a visit to the fisherman’s village.
